Our Story

Hi, I’m Anne-Walker, the founder and artist behind AW Needlework Designs.

Needlepoint has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories include watching my mom sit and stitch, sometimes by herself and sometimes surrounded by close friends gathered together sharing conversation and creativity.

At the time, I didn’t realize how meaningful this craft would become in my own life. What once felt like something I simply watched as a child would eventually become something that helped shape my story.

Where AW Needlework Began

AW Needlework began as a natural extension of a creative journey that started long before this shop ever existed. My love for beautiful details, timeless design, and especially monograms has been with me since I was young. That love first took shape through Elegant Goods Shop, then grew even more as I began designing my own embroidery designs through AW Stitches. Over the years, I found so much joy in creating pieces that felt personal, meaningful, and classic.

Always Creating

I have always been both artistic and entrepreneurial. Even as a child, I was drawn to creating, imagining, and turning ideas into something tangible and beautiful. Whether it was art supplies, handmade projects, or dreaming up a new little business idea, I loved the process of making something special from the ground up. That creative spirit has stayed with me through every season of life and every business I’ve built, and it continues to shape the vision behind AW Needlework today.

A Full-Circle Return

Starting AW Needlework feels especially meaningful because, in many ways, it brings me full circle. I first began stitching nearly 25 years ago when my dad got sick, and needlepoint became a kind of therapy for me during that time. It gave me something steady, peaceful, and comforting to hold onto. Even now, when life feels stressful or full, I still find myself returning to stitching. There is something so special about the quiet rhythm of it, the beauty of creating with your hands, and the way each stitch tells a story. Bringing AW Needlework to life feels like returning to something that has long been part of me and now, I get to share it with you. Thank you for being here!

Why I Created AW Needlework Designs

AW Needlework Designs was born from a desire to share this incredible craft with others.

Needlepoint is so much more than thread and canvas.

It is therapy.

It is a mental break.

It is creativity.

It is connection.

Every canvas you stitch represents a moment in time, hours spent creating something by hand, stitch by stitch.

Those stitches become memories.

My hope is that every person who picks up a canvas from AW Needlework Designs experiences the same joy, peace, and creativity that needlepoint has brought into my life.
